I painted this one today, I liked how the cottage looked with all the palm trees around so nothing would do but to paint it pretty big, 12 x 16. It looked like rain so I had my plan, there is a little shed nearby I could duck into if I had to. For some reason I don't have a photo of the shed, I got to get one next time. Its tall enough to sit in but not stand up in. I think it must have been a planting shed. The roof has two feet tall plants growing up on top, lucky leaf kalanchoes. It must have rained on and off 6 times. I would stick the paints in my painting box, grab the chair and run into the shed. I thought I would never get done, probably took twice as long as usual. Its oil, all knife, plein air, alla prima.

We went painting at Edenlawn Plantation on a Heathcote Botanical Gardens sponsored paintout last week, I am just now getting the paintings posted. I had a lovely time, they provided us with a nice breakfast and lunch and snacks. The painting is oil, 8 x 10,

Its 8 x 10 oil on masonite. I painted it a few months ago at Hackberry Hammock, wasn't too happy with it at the time so I tweaked it a bit. I like it a whole lot better now.
